Put your skills to use, learn new ones, and contribute to an amazing
life-experience for you and your local community.
Give young people the skills they need to succeed in life and discover
how being a part of the Scouting family can be as rewarding for you
as it is for them.
If you'd like to know more about joining our team, please get in touch with John or
one of the Section Team Leaders.
You don't have to be available every week, we can work with
whatever time you can offer. Several of our Team Members commit to just 2 or 3 evenings a month.
We are also well practised in dealing with problems caused
by unexpected late running meetings and the vagaries of TfL Rail and the M25!
If helping "behind the scenes" is more up your street, we are always looking for volunteers
to help with building/grounds maintenance and a variety of administration tasks.
Meet The Teams
All the Adults in the Group are volunteers - they do not get paid for what they do in Scouting.
They give their time because they feel that it is important that all young people have the chance to
be a part of the Scout Movement, and because they enjoy it!
Each section in the Group is run by a Section Leadership Team who are responsible for the running of their section.
John, our Group Lead Volunteer, supports all the Section Teams.
All Team Members must supply personal references and are subject to a satisfactory DBS (formerly CRB or Criminal Records Bureau) check.
They have to undergo training, including first aid, and all appointments are subject to regular review and renewal.
